For two people place in a blender:

2 bananas
2 carrots
1 apple
2 scoops of whey protein powder (this is key! it's the protein that keeps you full till lunch)
2 fist fulls of spinach leaves
fresh ginger
1/8 tsp of cayenne pepper
2 cups of coconut milk (super low carb. available in cartons at most grocery stores.)
a few ice cubes

YES, I do manage to shove all this into a regular blender... haha.

Then I fill up two 20 oz Rubbermaid drink containers. One for me and one for hubby to take to work. Use whatever fruits and veggies you have on hand. We get our protein powder at Costco.

When you mention that this is FUN, that tells me you are already on the right track! An affirmation opens the door. It’s a beginning point on the path to change. In essence, you’re saying to your subconscious mind: “I am taking responsibility. I am aware that there is something I can do to change.” When I talk about doing affirmations, I mean consciously choosing words that will either help eliminate something from your life or help create something new in your life.

Every thought you think and every word you speak is an affirmation. All of our self-talk, our internal dialogue, is a stream of affirmations. You’re using affirmations every moment whether you know it or not. You’re affirming and creating your life experiences with every word and thought.

Saying affirmations is only part of the process. What you do the rest of the day and night is even more important. it will be even lighter the third time. each month it will get lighter and brighter. that is when you can switch over to 20 volume. i sometimes do 20 volume every other month.

I know I said I was done dying my own hair but I have to stay true to who I am. I really enjoy doing my own hair and consider it my art.

I had some professionally done highlights in my hair and am thinking that in 8 weeks when I go in for a hair trim, I will bring along my own hair color for Ashley to use. The highlights give this red a wild depth. I recently learned from another blog that if you have an unsual color, you can take your own color in and have your hair dresser apply that.

Are you a complainer? Be honest.

Do you like being around complainers? Of course not.

The act of complaining is more than simply negative because what you are saying is negative. That negativity impacts your life. When you complain, you are focusing on what is wrong as opposed to what is right. Since we are all made up of energy, our thoughts, feelings, and words carry energy as well. The negative vibration that stems from complaining goes out into the universe, grabs other negative things, and brings them into your life in the form of unfulfilling relationships, careers, etc.

I have a challenge for you. It requires you to be very aware and mindful, to have some present moment consciousness as I like to call it. Take one day—a solid 24 hours—and every time you start to complain, catch yourself, and stop. How often do you want to complain and say something negative? It may be more often than you think. Know that bringing awareness to the habit is the first step in overcoming it and replacing it with a more positive one.

Let me know how the challenge goes for you. What did you learn? Maybe you can dig deeper and get to the root of why you complain and the dissatisfaction you feel.

Your emotional wellbeing and relationships are worth the time and effort to overcome the chronic complainer syndrome! You don’t like being around a complainer, and neither does anyone else. Be the positivity you want to draw to you.

As I had mentioned yesterday, with each passing day the pins poke out a little more. There is no pain pill that is going to take the pain away of two pins about to poke through the skin. There is no pain pill that can take away the pain you feel when you stand and put your body weight on the foot.

The only advice I can give is lay down and stay off your foot. Doctor advised me to only get up to go to the bathroom... uh, good advice... haha.

I am in chew on a leather strap pain. Marc is trying to get a hold of my doctor to get a refill on pain meds.

Have been without pain pills for almost two weeks. If I do not get pain pills today, my mother wants me to go to ER.

Of course it's Friday before a holiday... office is trying to locate a doctor to write me an Rx for oxycodone.

As the bones begin to grow together that process pushes the pins out and it is so painful. *head explodes*

edit 230pm: hubby got me my pain pills and what a difference! it's so much easier to be in a good mood when you are not in severe pain :)

Bunion Surgery: down for the count

The pain woke me up at 330am and I have been up ever since.

The pins in my feet are starting to nearly poke through the skin. They do not get removed until January 3rd. Based on my last surgery I had predicted the pins would be removed 12/29 but I think doctor may have moved the date due to the holidays. Arg.

It has reached the point where I am in excruciating pain if I wear the boot. The boot puts too much pressure on the two areas of my feet where the pins are poking out. This sucks!

Am back to being bedridden or wheeling around in my walker. All of this was to be expected, based on my last surgery. The difference is I had estimated that I only had 7 more days of this hell not 12.

Ooops... I made myself a double shot of espresso latte and left it out on my desk while I went to the restroom. Just returned to find that Norton drank the whole thing. This should be an "interesting" morning... haha!

Trying my best to keep my spirits up. This has been a rough month. Family issues (have been crying daily for almost two weeks) and physical pain. Not sure if I will be able to attend Christmas family events. I could barely get out of bed this morning.
